Sometimes problems don't arise right away. I'm thinking of switching also.

I have had the service for a while now, over a year. I like the service. These are my reasons. One, I can record 4 shows at once and watch them on any television. Two, I get the MLB basic channel for free. 3. With the 300 channel program, I also get access to the Showtime package for no extra charge. 4. I like the local channel feature that covers the city council and such meetings. 5. The special features on U-Verse, local scores, weather, are nice but slow. 6. I also like the freebies on the you schedule the show channels. 7. Since the cable is underground, bad weather is no longer a problem with my picture.
Cons: Box sits on ground in neighborhood. Kids sit on box and kick box. Messes up television. Can only record 4 shows. But, if you want to watch a 5th channel, you are out of luck. Miss Direct TV which always recorded an extra 30 minutes for sporting events. You can do this, but you have to schedule it every time. Some of the odd timed channels which begin at 5 minutes after the hour get shows cut off unless you fix this in advance. Wish it was cheaper. Which BBC America was in HD. Messes up my Dr. Who.
In fairness, I must point out there are 4 of us, so sometimes 4 recordings are not enough. Also, my son hates the system. His problem is they interrupt shows to let you know there are too many channels on the next work. Nice, you would think. But they always do it before the other show ends which cuts it off if you are recording or watching it. Be better if they did this after the next show started.
